Dr. Denise Urias Levy

"Ten years ago, the UNWTO began collaborating with us and established an agreement on best practices in indigenous tourism to empower women and young people and create independence in governments. We take care of the water, the land, the people, the animals.

We have a strategy towards 2030: a unique opportunity to create more indigenous tourism businesses, for this we all have to work together, the collaboration of non-indigenous groups in this project is also very positive for our development".

Symbolic moment

Chief Frank Antoine presents Dr. Dirk Glaesser with a feather as a symbol of Knucwentwécwes, Knucwentsút,

"Helping One Another, Helping Oneself".

The outer perspective

"From space you can appreciate how valuable the Earth is.

We are increasingly aware that the world is a single entity with limited resources and we have to strive for the sustainability of the world as one."

The financial perspective

"Sustainability and innovation are a must for finance. We need to provide long-term solutions, and to do that we need to transition faster and implement effective practices.

Multilateral development banks have also been supporting these initiatives through policy-based lending".
