Tolo Deyà is a lecturer in the Department of Economics and Business at the University of the Balearic Islands. 

D. in Economics from the Carlos III University of Madrid (Spain). He has published several research papers in journals of international impact and more than 10 book chapters in the most prestigious publishers. He has participated in more than 20 national and international research projects in competitive calls. He has held various academic positions such as Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, head of the Melia Hotels International Chair, deputy director of the Department of Business Economics. He is currently Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, and Director of the Chair of Environment and Tourism of the Capdepera Town Council. He has received several recognitions and awards, such as the "Human Resources Research Award" from the Centro de Estudios Financieros (Spain).
